Favorites, Exclusions and Saving Content
How do I exclude sources from the site?
There may be certain sources you want to exclude from the site. You can exclude them by selecting "View or Exclude Content from All Sources." Find the source there that you would like to exclude and select the exclude icon next to that source. Content from that source will be excluded from all topics and content types. It also will be excluded from any searches you perform on the site.
I excluded a source, but I want to find content from that source when I search the site. How do I do that?
You can do that by using advanced search. Enter your search criteria, then scroll down to the "Limit Sources To:" section and select the "All Sources (no exclusions)" radio button. Your search query will be performed against all of the sources in the database.
I search for the same topic over and over again. Is there a way I can save my search?
Yes. We call it "Favorite Topics". On the search results page, select the "save to favorite topics" link. You can also modify or delete any previous topics you have saved by personalizing Favorite Topics. You'll find a link to this page in the upper right-hand corner of the website.
How do I save content to review at a later time?
Each content item contains a "Save for Later Review" link. Just select that link and the content will be saved to your personalized Saved Items page. This page shows you the headline, source and the date on which you saved the item and it provides a brief excerpt from the article.
I found an article I want to use. How do I download it?
You will find several links at the bottom of each article. You have the option to download that file to your desktop; send it to your editorial system (if this option has been configured for your newsroom); have the item emailed to you; or you can print the article. The system offers several additional options for receiving content. If you have other needs, please contact us at and we'll help you with your delivery requirements.

I work with the same features and columns each week. Is there an easy way for me to get new material once it has been posted without using the site navigation or search?
You can customize the site based on your content needs. If there are features, columns, cartoons or puzzles that you work with every day or every week, just set them up by personalizing "My Favorite Sources." You will see a list of all of the features and all the sources in the database. Find the features or sources you want to save as favorites and select the My Favorites icon next to each one.
The features or sources you select will show up under the My Favorites list in the right-hand column on all pages. To see the latest material from that feature or source, just select the link. It's easy to remove features and sources as well. Just go back to the "My Favorite Sources" page and select the remove link and that source will be removed from your list.
